Karena Curry, M.Ed., LCMHC, QS is the owner of Kay Counseling, PLLC. She is a 2013 graduate of Winthrop University and she specializes in Cognitive Behavioral, Person Centered, and Reality Therapies. She is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are: Depression, trauma, anxiety, relational issues, family conflict, stress management, and self-esteem.

Ms. Curry is an interactive therapist that caters to her clients’ individual therapeutic needs. She prides herself on being relatable and providing a warm, therapeutic relationship with her clients. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Sharonda Ravenell, M.Ed., NCC, LCMHCA obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina and her graduate degree at Liberty University. She is a firm believer in the power of change. She aims to help individuals through this journey we call life with their mental health needs.

As a clinician, she is compassionate, straight forward and practical. She prides herself on creating a welcoming and trusting client-counselor relationship and environment. She has worked with clients of all ages with various concerns such as (but not limited to) anxiety, self-esteem, depression, relationship issues and trauma. She tailors her therapeutic approach for the individual client using many different methodologies and techniques acquired through her training and education. She stands firmly on the belief that therapy provides room for healing, clarity, growth and empowerment and with work and determination each client can reach their goals.

 

Keeshma Richardson, MS, LCMHC, NCC obtained her Master’s Degree from Capella University and she specializes in Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness-based Behavioral, and Person-Centered therapies. She works with clients from a variety of backgrounds and ages that are facing challenges with self esteem, self-identity/self-discovery, anxiety, depression, stress, LGBT+ issues, post abortion stress, and complex trauma.

As a clinician, she creates a safe place for her clients where they can feel supported and empowered to overcome obstacles hindering their full potential in life. She believes in focusing on getting the whole person into a healthier state and will include eclectic and holistic techniques in the therapy sessions if desired by clients. Life can be tough sometimes and it can be difficult to know how to get out of the trenches. With compassion, unconditional support and mindful listening, she will work with you in overcoming difficult life challenges and finding hope.

 

Samantha Gingles, MS, LCMHCA, NCC obtained her Master’s Degree from North Carolina A&T State University in 2023. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused therapies. Samantha strives to aid in the process of healing and improving emotional intelligence while assisting her clients on their journey to self-actualization.

Samantha has over 17 years of experience providing therapeutic intervention services to adults, children, and families who experience a variety of challenges including: Trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem relational issues, and family conflict. She enjoys working with individuals ages 8 and up develop skills that support their overall mental and emotional well-being. Samantha also works with families and couples that are facing difficulties to find balance in their dynamics and to build stronger relationships.
